Dato’ Mani has been actively involved in and has contributed tremendously to the growth and development of the profession and nation. He was involved in legislative amendments in the Valuers, Appraisers and Estate Agents Act, the Land Acquisition Act and other land related acts.
Dato’ Mani was instrumental in setting up the National Property Information Centre (NAPIC) and the National Property Research Centre (NAPREC).
His interests include academic and professional research into all aspects of real estate. He has lectured at various universities including Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, University Malaya as Adjunct Professor, Universiti Teknologi Mara and Universiti Tun Hussein Onn as Adjunct Professor.
Dato’ Mani has published books and articles in professional journals, spoken on many aspects of the property market and appeared as an expert witness in valuation cases. He is often consulted and his expert opinions are valued by professionals in demand cases. His current interests include real estate valuations, business valuations, risk-return analysis in real estate, REITs, development appraisals, feasibility studies and civil / land acquisition related property management litigation matters.
Dato’ Mani holds an M.Sc. in Property Development from Southbank University. He has written two books on real estate, published more than 24 articles in professional journals and contributed articles to INSPEN monographs on Land Acquisition, Agriculture and Rating.
